A driver has been left in critical condition after his car somersaulted multiple times following a struggle with a police officer who allegedly grabbed the steering wheel.

The officer reportedly took the driver’s phone and ₦100,000.

 

 

This incident was captured in a viral video circulating on X, formerly Twitter.

In the footage, a man believed to be the driver could be heard crying out in distress, accusing the police of extortion and maltreatment.

The video shows the driver lying on the ground after being pulled from the wreckage, while the officer is also seen being helped out of the crashed vehicle.

 

 

    In a shaky voice, the driver laments:

   “This is not the first time they are harassing me. Every time, they find a way to harass me. The police have killed me! Every day, they collect money from me. They took ₦100,000 and my phone. This is not even the third time.”
