A video circulating on social media shows a Nigerian woman in tears, pleading for justice after policemen in Kwara State killed her only child over a sum of N100,000.
In the heartbreaking video, the grieving mother, during an interview, pleads for justice over the death of her son, Suleman, a recent graduate of Kwara State Polytechnic.
The grieving mother explained that her son was killed in Tanke, Ilorin, by three policemen over a transaction issue. She said a lady had called him outside, and when he went to meet her, he was suddenly arrested by three police officers who claimed he owed N100,000.
The mother recounted that during the struggle with the three policemen who came to arrest her son, one of them struck him with the back of a gun, which ultimately led to his death.
Reacting to Suleiman’s death, the Police Public Relations Officer of the Kwara State Command, DSP Adetoun E. Adeyemi, confirmed that the officers involved have been detained and emphasized that further investigation is ongoing.
